I'm not one to write negative reviews, but I felt that I needed to share my experience and warn others about bringing your car here. I was charged $350 just to run diagnostics and was told that I needed a new pedal accelerator sensor and two new actuators. I was told that it would cost me $2,600. Over $800 for the pedal accelerator sensor and $1,400 for the actuators. I declined and picked up my car. My husband bought a new pedal accelerator sensor for $110 from AutoZone and put it in my car in about 15 minutes. They claimed that getting to the actuators would take at least 4 hours. My husband opened the glove department and was able to reach both actuators that he needs to replace and estimates that it will take him an hour max to replace. Actuators cost around $10/piece. All things said, they were essentially going to charge me over $500/hour for labor...lol.
Sarah, we're sorry about your experience and do appreciate the feedback. We identified an engine light and noise behind the dash. Our service advisor documented that you agreed to two different diagnostics and signed off on them. The proper repair for the pedal position switch is to replace the whole pedal and switch from GM which requires more labor than just the switch and is the proper repair to offer our 3-year warranty. We also recommended a de-carb and fuel system cleaning as part of the $800 quote. As far as the actuators in the dash we identified three that were making noise, not two, and the national labor guide calls for a total of 4 hours to replace all three. We do not use AutoZone parts and quoted high quality parts from GM that we can back for the next 3 years with warranty. We are happy to discuss openly and honestly any of your other vehicle needs.
